Two cracking bets for Forest v Swansea tonight

The play-offs begin tonight with Nottingham Forest entertaining Swansea as the quest for the holy grail that is promotion to the Premier League takes centre stage.

Best odds currently available on tonights game:
Forest 11/8 Draw 23/10 Swansea 9/4

Swansea go into tonights tie as favourites to progress to the final, currently 4/5, but Forest are certainly the form side going into the play-offs with 5 wins out of their last 6 games.

Forest know they will have to make an impression at the City Ground to stand any chance of qualifying and they certainly have the firepower to do that, having scored in each of their last 9 outings including 14 in their last 4.

Swansea too have goals within their ranks having netted 10 goals in their last three games, winning them all, so I fully expect goals at the City ground this evening. The bookmakers do not agree with this which I find quite surprising given the previous two encounters between these teams have finished 3-1 and 3-2 with a home win for either side.

Therefore my recommended bets for tonight are...

Over 2.5 Goals at best priced 6/5 with Paddy Power

Both Teams To Score at best priced 5/6 with Paddy Power

Don't forget we have another Guaranteed Profit Bet laid out on tonights game, just head to www.guaranteedwin.co.uk for full details.

Bet of the weekend on Man Utd v Chelsea

Here's an interesting statistic for you on tomorrows game at Old Trafford...

No team in the Premier League has scored more goals in the last 15 minutes of a game than either Manchester United or Chelsea, who have both netted 19 times.

Now as they are about to face each other I had to have a look at what prices were on offer, and some had the odds about right in my opinion, as low as 1/2 in places. But one bookie has gone out on a limb and stands way apart from the others...

If you are looking for value in a bet, which we all should be, that offer is just too good to turn down so I suggest you pile on it now. Yes nothing in life is guaranteed (apart from death and our guaranteed profit bets) but you have to admit that is mighty tempting!

Value to be found in League Two this weekend

The football season is coming to an end for fans of most lower league clubs this weekend and I'm sticking to games involving teams with something to play for when it comes to my betting advice today.

The Championship standings are all but settled (barring a possible points deduction for QPR) so I'm setting my sights on League 2 this Saturday.

Game of the day in the division is undoubtedly at Chesterfield where the table toppers take on Gillingham knowing a point will clinch the title. Gillingham meanwhile sit just outside the play off zone although they are level on points with the two teams above them. Both teams have had a nervy end to the season with Chesterfield (1 win in 5) and Gillingham (1 win in 4) struggling to get over the finish line. The value in this match can be had by taking the draw at a best priced 13/5 with Bet365. It's certain Chesterfield would accept the draw were it offered to them today and no doubt Gillingham would also be reasonably happy with a point as their two play off rivals are both facing tough games tomorrow.

Elsewhere in League 2 Shrewsbury face Oxford with a chance of securing automatic promotion should they better Wycombe's result against Southend, something they should achieve against a side with nothing to play for. The Shropshire side are unbeaten in their last four games, having collected ten points to give themselves a fighting chance of avoiding the lottery of the play-offs. Oxford appear to be in wind down mode having won just one of their last six matches and I doubt they will have the motivation to match their opponents. So grab the best price available on a Shrewsbury win which is 8/11 with Victor Chandler.

Rotherham v Torquay is the next game on are radar. Similar to Oxford, Rotherham have nothing left to play for and their form of late isn't healthy either, they have not won in their last 7 matches. Contrast that to play off chasing Torquay, who are unbeaten in 11 games including last weeks draw with table topping Chesterfield. I'm plumping for a Torquay victory here which is a best price 13/10 at Bet365 although if you want a little extra security you can back Torquay with the draw no bet at 8/13 with the same firm.

We also have another guaranteed profit bet lined up for you this weekend, this time on the title defining clash at Old Trafford this Sunday between Arsenal & Manchester United, which kicks off at 4:10pm.

Have yourself a risk free bet safe in the knowledge that no matter what the outcome you have made a guaranteed profit of...

£35.00 if Manchester United win
£56.25 if Chelsea win
£60.00 if it is a draw

So head on over to our dedicated profit bet site HERE for full details.

A Right Royal Weekend

Hope you are all enjoying the Royal Wedding as I write this, I'm a bit miffed personally, William Hill won't take my bet on Kate leaving Westminster Abbey in a carriage, which I was going to make my bet of the day. I've had Miss Middleton on my mind all night actually, I'd love to tell you the dream I had but I better not, lets just say it involved Asda, an old Ford Escort and something I have never tried with the missus!

Speaking of our bets of the day, they aren't doing too bad with only three losers from the last ten and hopefully todays will be no different. It is on tonights clash at Plainmoor between Torquay & title chasing Chesterfield, who could clinch the title this weekend. Torquay may have something to say about that however. They have slipped to 8th place recently after a run of three sucessive draws but they remain unbeaten in their last eight games whilst Chesterfield have wobbled slightly, losing two and drawing one of their last four.

My money is going on the draw here at the best priced 13/5 on offer from Victor Chandler. Those of you who like to back the correct score should also note that the most common outcomefor these two teams in their respective home and away games this season is 1-1, which is available generally at 6/1. I'm also hitting the 'under 2.5 goals' market in this one which is a best price evens at Bet365.

I'm also having a heavy bet on tonights German Bundesliga match between Werder Bremen & Wolfsburg. The hosts last kept a clean sheet 16 games ago while Wolfsburg have conceded in their last 12 so I'm backing both to score at Boylesports 8/15.

Tomorrow I strongly fancy both teams to score in the matches involving...

West Brom (1 clean sheet all season) & Aston Villa (only 2 clean sheets in last 23)

Sheffield Utd (1 in last 18) & Barnsley (1 in 15)

Brighton & Huddersfield (both teams have failed to score in only 2 of last 19 games)

The treble here pays out 3.84/1 with Bet365 and I'd also back the Brighton game in a single at the 4/5 they have on offer.

I'll be back in touch tomorrow with my tips for Sunday, including the big game at the Emirates between Arsenal & Manchester United, which is also our guaranteed profit bet this week, full details can be found at our website, www.guaranteedwin.co.uk.

Back to the wedding before I go and I think maybe Prince William has picked the wrong sister here. Her sis, Pippa I think she is called, has just entered the Abbey and she looks a right stunner. I bet I know what Harry is up to tonight, wonder if I can get odds on that!

Goals galore this Good Friday

It's sunny all over Britain, it's a bank holiday, what more could you want? Personally I want a jetski but the missus won't let me, don't know why she's bothered, I wouldn't let her have a go if i bought one anyway. If todays betting comes in I'm gonna buy one no matter what she says, and as its easter I'm going to have a fun little punt, I'm heading to BetFred and hitting his goals galore coupon.

For those of you who have been in hibernation, the goals galore coupon is rapidly becoming a nations favourite. You pick at least two selections and if both teams score you are in the money. The joy of this bet is you are in with a chance of winning it right up until the final whistle, so rather than spoil my Good Friday by half time I am betting with Fred.

First up on the coupon I'm plumping for Leeds v Reading. With 78 and 73 goals respectively, these are two of the leagues goal plunderers so expect them both to hit the net.

Next I'm tipping Nott'm Forest v Leicester. Both teams have only failed to net once in the last seven games and with this being a local derby expect plenty of goalmouth action.

Thirdly I'm taking Bury v Lincoln, Bury have scored in 18 of their last 20 matches while Lincoln have scored in all but 1 away game since mid October.

Lastly we head to Plainmoor for the Torquay v Wycombe game, Torquay are pushing for automatic promotion and know where the net is, having failed to score on only 3 occassions this year. Wycombe, who sit in third place, are averaging 2 goals a game themselves over the past two months.

That pretty four-timer pays out 9/1 on the goals galore coupon at Betfred, fingers crossed it comes in and my shiny new jetski is sat in the harbour come Easter Monday.

North London derby

It's the North London derby tonight and before we go into detail let me just mention that we have a guaranteed profit bet set out for you on the game, with details available HERE. It's well worth a try as it gives a great profit and we all like a bit of risk free profit now and again.

Onto the match itself now and the bookmakers have Arsenal down as slight favourites for this one at a best priced 8/5 (Paddy Power), but its questionable whether Tottenham should be underdogs for this.

For one, Spurs have had a full 7 days recovery time since their last game while Arsenal played a tough game against Liverpool only last Sunday. Yes Arsenal are still clinging to their title aspirations, especially after Man Utd could only manage a draw at St James Park last night, but Spurs still have a lot to play for themselves, with that all important fourth place still up for grabs.

The main reason for my leanings towards the Lilywhites however, is their superb home record. They have only lost once at home all season in the league, a 1-0 reverse against Wigan way back in August, and since the start of last season have only lost 4 times in 35 games at the lane. They did also beat the Gunners back in November at the Emirates so they are capable of a win against tonights opponents.

The Gunners may have the best away record in the division, with 8 wins from 15 games to date, however they have drawn 4 of the last 5 games and seem to be heading for the seasonal Arsenal fatigue blip right now.

I think the bookies have got this one wrong and the best odds available for a Tottenham victory, 15/8 with Victor Chandler, are very tempting. I'll be plumping for a 'draw no bet' punt however, Tottenham are 21/20 on this market with Boylesports, all other bookies are evens or odds on.

In this evening's other Premier League match, Chelsea take on Birmingham at the bridge. The Brummies aren't exactly prolific goalscorers to date, with only 33 goals from their 32 games this season, but they aren't conceding too many either. In their last 13 games they have conceded more than 2 goals on only 2 occasions so the 6/4 on offer from Paddy Power for under 2.5 goals in the game is very tempting.

I've also got a feeling Mr Torres might nab one tonight, not based on facts or statistics, just a hunch as surely his barren run must come to an end soon. He can be backed at 7/2 with Betfred for the first goal, don't forget we get our money back if he comes on after a goal has been scored.

Tuesdays advice

Well that was some weekend of football, City upsetting the red half of Manchester with a well deserved victory in the first FA Cup semi-final while Stoke hammered five past a despondant Bolton in the other. Meanwhile a 1-1 draw in the 'El Classico' saw Messi net his first goal against a team managed by Mourinho and Ronaldo grab his first goal against Barca. Betting wise our tips for Blackpool (4/6) Wigan (2/1), Motherwell (23/20) and a Messi anytime goal (11/8) came in, while our advice to back Barcelona draw no bet meant money back for our followers too.

Kidderminster & Man Utd let us down though, how on earth the Kiddies only managed a draw against a team with the worst defensive record in the country I'll never know, that was definately a coupon buster.

Tonight see's Manchester United get back to league business with a trip up north to face Newcastle United. While many say a visit to St James Park is a tough trip, Man Utd might disagree. Since Newcastle's last victory over United in 2001 they have gone a massive 17 games without victory against the Red Devils, with Man Utd winning 6 and drawing 1 of the last seven clashes at St James Park. Wayne Rooney has aliking for Newcastle too, scoring 6 times in his 5 previous visits in a red shirt.

While Newcastle are almost safe from relegation, they are without leading scorer Kevin Nolan through suspension tomorrow and their frontline is looking painfully weak since the departure of Andy Carroll. So I'd recommend you get on the best priced 3/4 available at Boylesports, who are also going evens for a Rooney goal at anytime tomorrow night.

The standout bet for the game must be the 19/20 Bet365 are offering on the game going over 2.5 goals though. 69% of Newcastle's home matches have gone over with a massive 75% of Uniteds away games going over too.

There is also one fixture in the Championship this evening, with Burnley entertaining Middlesbrough. Both teams are struggling to keep clean sheets lately (both have managed the feat twice in their last fifteen games) so if you fancy a punt on this one, grab the 5/6 Victor Chandler are offering for both teams to score.

.

Saturday 16 April 2011

Super Saturday

At tea-time this evening Wembley will be rocking to a mancunian chorus (if they have managed to avoid the road closures & train delays) as Man Utd take on City in the FA cup semi-final. While Man Utd are without Rooney due to suspension, City are without Tevez through injury and that is some major loss. If you take away his 19 goals in all competitions their next highest scorer is Balotelli on only 6. With Man Utd failing to score only 3 times all season, you have to worry for a City team that may be overawed by the occasion. So I suggest you grab the 11/10 for a United win which is currently available at Betfred & Victor Chandler.

In the Premier League a basement battle and a half will take place at Blackpool where they entertain bottom of the table Wigan. As regular readers will know, Blackpool are a godsend when it comes to the goals market with 94% of their home matches going over 2.5 goals. Bet365 have this priced at 4/6 and that is well worth as nibble. However Wigan have had a really tough run of fixtures this last month yet only Man Utd have scored more than one goal against them so a Wigan win, best priced 2/1 with Victor Chandler may be worth a shout, especially when you consider Blackpool have only won 1 of their last 12 matches.

In the Blue Square Premier, Bottom club Eastbourne face relegation unless they can gain a victory against fourth placed Kidderminster. Eastbourne have conceded a massive 97 goals this season and I expect that figure to go close to the magic 100 mark by 5pm today with Kiddie pushing for promotion. A Kidderminster win is a best priced 4/6 with Boylesports and that is a steal.

Finally on to 'El Classico', Real Madrid v Barcelona, the most entertaining team on the planet facing the self styled special one. Barcelona, who are 8 points clear of their rivals at the top of La Liga, can all but seal the title with a victory here. They are looking to do the double over Madrid for the third successive season and even though the Madristas will be out to avenge the 5-0 drubbing they received earlier in the season, you have to fancy Messi et al securing the points. They are a best priced 6/4 with Betfred for the victory but can also be backed at 4/5 'draw no bet' with the same firm.

One interesting stat is that Messi has never scored against a team managed by Mourinho - fancy him breaking his duck? Boylesports go 11/8 he scores at anytime, its odds on at other bookies. Ronaldo has never scored against Barca either and with that pair heading the scoring charts one oif them may break their duck this evening.

Finally if you read this in time grab the 23/20 Victor Chandler are offering on Motherwell beating St Johnstone at 12:45pm today, Motherwell, unbeaten in 4 matches, should overcome a St Johnstone side on a downward spiral with ease.

Cash 4 Corners

Social networking & gambling are not the most obvious of bedfellows, but surprisingly they sit rather nicely together in certain situations.

No doubt most of the planet are aware of Facebook & Twitter by now, for certain they have helped shape us in this 'information now' era. Now personally I think Twitter has been a fantastic addition to the betting man's arsenal, rumours and tips are abound in its ether and valued opinion is shared both pre-game and in play. Information overload it may be but during last months Cheltenham festival, as I was marooned in one of its many watering holes, it proved its worth providing me with valued information on a sport I am not overtly familiar with.

Following famous persons tends to be something of a must on Twitter, oh the joys of finding out how long it took Rio Ferdinand to take the kids to school or the overwhelming satisfaction gained by knowing you are probably the only person in the pub who knows that Helen Chamberlain makes a mean carrot cake. Just don't expect anything too controversial from the stars, the authorities can bite back as Ryan Babel knows. He was charged with misconduct after posting a digitally altered photo of referee Howard Webb in a Man Utd shirt soon after a controversial match in which Liverpool lost 1-0.

Journalists however are a different kettle of fish. What cannot be printed in tomorrows rag can most certainly be twitted. A manager can get an online torturing after a press conference if he has irked our scribe. In fact I'd go as far to say that sports journalists are the lifeblood of my twitter account. Back in 2009 I received information via twitter from a Dorset journalist, it was regarding a conference match between Weymouth & Rushden & Diamonds. Weymouth's players, who had gone months without pay, refused to play in the match and were replaced by youth team players. By 10am money was piling on Rushden getting a hatful of goals, which they duly did, nine in total. Thanks to a helpful Friday evening tweet I earned a months wage, as did most of the Sportsman's Arms pub that day. A local bookmaker did go under though (go on admit it you smirked then).

So Twitter can be a valuable tool if you can separate the chaff from the wheat, but what about Facebook?

Facebook has always seemed, at least to me, to be somewhat of a teenagers toy. Yes I use it, it is handy to keep in touch with friends when you are exiled 400 miles from home and a quick game of bejewelled blitz is always a handy stress buster but can it aid your sports betting? I didn't really think so until recently. Yes, if you search 'betting tips' or the like you can be pointed to a facebook page telling you that all IPL matches are fixed and the owner is willing to sell you the info at a bargain price, or you can find a teenager who thinks he's the next Gypsy Rose Lee and is happily displaying his £1 accumulator that will net him eight grand if a miracle occurs and all seventeen teams somehow win. But decent valuable information betting information? I hadn't found any.

That is until I was pointed to a recently spawned page dedicated to in-play betting, namely the corner market. The bets in question are placed on the 'race to x corner' market that Bet365 make available in its comprehensive in-play betting services.

I was pointed in this direction by a fellow gambler, via twitter as it happens, and the resulting conversations we had made interesting reading. It transpires that the facebook page in question, Cash 4 Corners, was set up to proof a selection of bets being made in preparation for the service being offered on a monthly subscription. Having spoken with the author of the page, he has informed me he is running this service for the next three months and initial results are looking pretty damn good.

They way it works is rather simple. Two/three evenings a week the tipster is sat at his PC, studying that evenings football games. He will closely watch the statistics of a few particular matches, a teams possession, the chances they are creating, are a certain team chasing a game etc. All in readiness for a bet on the 'race to corners' market. We will take a closer look at one of his highlighted games to explain in further detail.

On Saturday evening he was studying an FC Thun game (no I hadn't heard of them either). After 35 minutes, with FC Thun leading the corner race 3 to nil, he recommended backing FC Thun to be the first team to hit 5 corners. Now this wasn't the most fantastic price I'd ever seen, it was 4/11, but I stuck a twenty on it to see how things went. By half time Thun were leading the corner race 4-0 and looking good, then came another post recommending a bet on the 'race to 7 corner' market, this time better priced at 21/20. Another twenty quid exited my online balance and the second half got under way. Come the 60th minute FC Thun won the race to 5 corners so that was winning bet number one, then eureka, in the 78th minute FC Thun won the corner race 7-1 to give us another winning bet.

Now yes I know this was only one match and I wouldn't recommend anything without further trialling but his figures do add up, at least over the last week I have been watching. Since April 6th he has listed 24 bets of this kind and only 3 have failed to come in. Now that is damn good figures, I'd settle for that on a regular basis. It's addictive too, I never thought I could get so much fun out of watching a Mexican league match at 2am in the morning via the three inch viewer so kindly supplied by Bet365 and their streaming service.

So if you fancy a different slant on your betting for a change I'd suggest you take a look HERE, he isn't charging for this information and it beats bejewelled blitz for entertainment hands down.

Nice 6/1 Treble This Evening

Tonight it is the Champions League that takes centre stage, with the 2nd leg of the quarter finals taking place.

Obviously most eyes will be on Old Trafford where Manchester United are worthy favourites against a thoroughly underwhelming Chelsea side. Man Utd made a host of changes at the weekend yet still beat Fulham easily, with their big guns back tonight I cannot see past a United victory. Torres has still yet to score while Drogba's record of 2 goals in 16 games against Manchester United hardly inspires, so if you fancy a bet on tonights game I'd suggest taking the 13/10 on offer at Victor Chandler for a United victory.

Barcelona travel to face Shakhtar Donesk in tonights other tie and the Catalan outfit are all but through after their 5-1 victory in the home leg. Tonight's match in Ukraine could be a different affair however. Without the suspended Andres Iniesta and injured Carles Puyol the Catalans could be vulnerable and a defeat on the night would be no surprise, especially given their poor Champions League away form. Shakhtar look the bet at a best priced 11/4.

Onto tonights league football now and we have another couple of stand out bets available.

Firstly I recommend backing 'over 2.5 goals' in the Derby County v Leeds match. Derby are averaging over 2.5 goals in 65% of their home games this season and have gone over in 6 of their last 7 games. Leeds matches are high scoring affairs too, with 70% of all league matches so far going over. The best available price is 4/5 with BetFred.

Next up I'd recommend backing 'over 2.5 goals' again, this time in the Barnsley v QPR game. Suprisingly the bookmakers think this will be a low scoring affair, with the unders market being favourite. However Barnsley have been scoring goals of late and 3 out of their 4 last matches have gone over 2.5 goals. QPR come into this game on the back of a 4-1 defeat to lowly Scunthorpe and will be looking to get a result here to keep their championship plans on track. The best price available for over 2.5 goals is 6/5 with Sportingbet.

Finally take a look at the Rochdale v Southampton game this evening. Both these teams know where the net is so punt on the 'both teams to score' market at 3/4 with Victor Chandler. Southampton have scored in each of their last 8 matches while Rochdale have only failed to score in 8 of their 40 matches so far this term.

Ignoring the Champions League tips, the league treble pays out at just under 6/1.

Enjoy your midweek, i'll be back tomorrow with a nice little slant on in-play football betting that is certainly paying off right now.

.

Saturday 9 April 2011

Three tips for today

It is Grand National day and that has to be one of the best days of the year if you are anything like me. For me it is the only race where the result is almost an afterthought, it is the whole spectacle of the famous event that makes it a fantastic place to be at, or indeed watch on TV.

I hope you received my email during midweek where I explained where my money was going and the reasonings why. I tipped three horses after an exhaustive rant and as of Saturday morning my main fancy, NICHE MARKET can be backed at a best priced 25/1 with Bet365, whilst my two outsiders, Chief Dan George & Killyglen are available at 50/1 & 80/1 respectively.

Onto this weekends football now and we have another couple of great value bets available for you now.

Firstly I recommend backing 'over 2.5 goals' in the Bolton v West Ham match. Both teams are averaging over 2.5 goals per game in more than 60% of their matches and both have only kept a clean sheet in 2 of their last 8 games. The best available price is 17/20 with Bet365.

Another game that takes our fancy is the Sunderland v West Brom game. Sunderland may be without a goal in their last 4 games and without a win in 7 but they have had a tough run of fixtures of late, playing top 7 sides in their last 5 games. So grab the 13/10 on offer from Victor Chandler.

Finally take a look at the Millwall v Leeds game this afternoon. I can see this match being as hot on the pitch as I'm sure it will be off it. Both teams are scoring goals of late and the 4/5 on offer for both teams scoring at Victor Chandler is well worth a punt.

That treble pays almost 7/1.

So enjoy your weekend out and about in this glorious weather and lets hope for a lovely return from both our football and our National tips.

Our guaranteed profit bet is moving...

Our revered guaranteed profit bet is proving too successful, the adulation and fame has gone to its head and it has demanded a move. It is no longer happy sitting on page two of a mere blog, it wants its own plush apartment with wall mounted plasmas and a hot tub. I could sense something was happening a few months ago, it started visiting trendy London nightspots with so called superstar footballers before rolling in at stupid o'clock with its latest wag.

But what can you do?

So this morning it packed its bags and headed over to its new home...

It has assured me it will still be providing the same great value, no lose football bets each week so we can rest easy. I've just headed over their now and there is another one listed for Saturdays Premier League match between Wolves and Everton, so don't forget to visit by clicking the link on the right and feel free to break something expensive while you're in there.

Monday 4 April 2011

Collusion?

Way back last Tuesday I suggested betting on the weekend Serie B game between Cittadella & Varese, as I told you about suspicious betting patterns on the match. To refresh your memory, I said I had been called by an odds compiler friend of mine who told me that large amounts of money was being placed on the draw. So how did it end up........

Cittadella 2-2 Varese

Quite an entertaining match by all accounts, 1-1 after 81 minutes before the referee gives Citadella a penalty which is duly converted. Varese, who are already down to ten men, have another player sent off protesting so face the final ten minutes two men down. However they managed to grab an unlikely(?) draw with a goal in the 95th minute.

I was speaking to my friend again last night and he said that these lower Italian league games are causing the bookmakers no end of problems. The good thing is he has promised to keep me informed so I will post the information on here as soon as I receive it.

.

Sunday 3 April 2011

Two out of three ain't bad

Yesterday's tips certainly could have gone worse, but they could also have gone a little better.

The day started fine when our tip on West Ham v Manchester Utd going over 2.5 goals came in easily at 5/6, we were certainly aided by the referee as his three penalty awards helped us no end. Just a quick heads up about this match. On twitter I advised backing Man Utd at half time as VCBet had the United victory priced at 12/1 whilst others were as low as 6/1. If you are using twitter then please add darrenprembet so you don't miss out, we often have in running tips available which due to timing we obviously cannot post on here.

Then it was over to the Hawthorns were our tip on both teams to score came in nicely as WBA defeated Liverpool 2-1, giving us another 5/6 winner. Unfortunately we fell at the last fence when our tip for over 2.5 goals in the Arsenal v Blackburn game came unstuck as the match ended goalless.

Our little cameo fact on Everton being the only team not to score a penalty in the Premier League this season came in useful mind, as Leighton Baines despatched one in the 83rd minute to secure a draw v Aston Villa.

So two out of three for Saturday, onwards and upwards as we look for more value today.

First up we have Fulham v Blackpool. Now not too many people will be over-excited about this match in all honesty, the highlight may well be the unveiling of the Wacko Jacko statue pre-match (don't get me started on that), but as most of you will know, Blackpool are a team full of goals. Out of 30 Premier League games this season they have failed to score in only 6 of them. They do have a soft defence to go with it though, with their goals against tally of 60 easily the worst in the Premier. Fulham are not exactly prolific scorers, joint 2nd lowest in the Premier, but facing Blackpool you have to fancy their chances of netting at least one, especially considering Blackpool have yet to keep a clean sheet in 2011.

Victor Chandler have 'both teams to score' priced at 5/6 which is worth a nibble at, even if only to maintain a decent interest in the televised fixture.

The 4pm kick off see's Manchester City face Sunderland. With Tottenham only managing a draw yesterday this is an ideal chance for City to stake a claim to that all important 4th spot and I cannot see past a City victory today. However the general price on offer is 1/2 so no real value is to be had in that.

Sunderland, who are without a win in six, have failed to net in their last three matches. However they do have Danny Wellbeck fit again to partner an in form Gyan and against a City team with only two clean sheets in their last six games, I can see them breaking their recent scoring drought. Victor Chandler have the 'both teams to score' market priced at evens for this and I think that could be worth taking a chance on.

The 'both teams scoring' double today pays a best priced 2.67/1 at Victor Chandler

A final pointer on the Man City v Sunderland game today. Betfred have this match listed as a 'double & treble delight' game. This means if you correctly back the first goalscorer and he goes on to net a brace or a hat-trick, they will double/treble your first goalscorer odds.

BetFred are the only bookmaker offering this deal at the moment so if you like a first goalscorer bet it is certainly worth placing it with them. They had this deal running on yesterday's West Ham v Manchester United game and duly paid out double the odds on Mark Noble after his two penalties.

Full details can be found on the BetFred website HERE

Lastly please head back here tomorrow, I have an interesting slant on the 'race to x corners' market which is proving popular lately. More details to come but I can tell you now a certain tactic has been tested out on this over the last month and it is showing a healthy profit.

Tips for Saturday April 2nd

Firstly can I just point out that as this is being written on April fools day, should these tips fail to come in you realise I am going to claim it was all a joke. Right that's my back covered, onto the important bits.

First game we are looking at is Saturday's early kick off, West Ham v Man Utd 12:45pm

I recommend backing 'over 2.5 goals' here - which is a best priced 5/6 - Betfred or Victor Chandler

Both these teams have been hitting the goals of late and with relegation worries/titles at stake they will both be going all out to grab the three points on offer. West Ham have been involved in some high scoring games recently with 30 goals being scored in their last 9 league matches. 7 of their last 9 games have gone over 2.5 goals and 60% of all West Ham games this season have yielded 3 or more goals.

As you would expect with a team pushing for the title, Manchester United are no strangers to scoring either. 32 goals have been scored in United's previous 9 league matches and 10 of their previous 12 games have topped 2.5 goals. Away from home the Reds have seen 73% of their games go over the 2.5 goals mark this season.

Next up is the West Brom v Liverpool game which is a 3pm kick off this Saturday.

I recommend backing 'both teams to score' here - best price 5/6 - Victor Chandler or Stan James

Again both teams have plenty to play for and the stats make interesting reading. West Brom have scored in 87% of their home league games this season, that is 13 out of 15 matches, while Liverpool have netted in 83% of all league matches home & away this season. Liverpool are on a scoring run at the moment, they have netted in each league game since a 0-1 loss at home to Wolves on 29th December, that is a run of 12 games.

Now onto the Arsenal v Blackburn game which is Saturdays evening fare on ESPN.

I recommend backing 'over 2.5 goals' in this one - best price 1/2 - Stan James

Now I know the odds are not the greatest on this match so feel free to ignore me if you wish but hear me out first please. Punters at the Emirates this season have seen 42 goals hit the net in the league so far this season, which equates to 2.8 goals per game. Meanwhile Blackburn games away from home are averaging 3.87 goals per game, which is the biggest in the Premier League. Obviously the bookies have noticed this and have priced up accordingly but with stats like that I'm going to risk a bet.

A treble on those recommended bets pay just over 4/1 at Stan James

Finally something else worth noting - Everton are the only team yet to score a penalty in the Premier League this season and Fulham are the only team yet to concede a penalty, surely one of them will succumb this weekend?

So good luck with your betting this weekend, don't forget we have a new guaranteed profit bet laid out for you on the Wigan v Spurs game this Saturday. Head over to our dedicated page HERE for full details on how to grab yourself a profit of at least £28 on the match.

Harry Redknapp to leave Spurs?

A huge gamble has occurred today with money piling on Harry Redknapp to be the next manager to leave his post in the Premier League.

He was 100/1 this morning but a flood of money has piled on him today, forcing his price to be cut to as low as 8/1 with Victor Chandler.

William Hill also saw money coming in on Redknapp, they commented...

"We have seen a number of new clients opening accounts purely to bet on Harry being the next to go this season and although we can see no possible reason why this should happen we’ve had to react to the money as no one else is being backed at the moment"

One to watch over the coming days I think.

Serie B punt Saturday

Just a quick one - get on the draw in the Cittadella v Varese Italian Serie B match this Saturday, the draw is being cut constantly and is currently 13/8, just spoke to an odds compiler who says it will be odds on within 24 hours. Something is obviously amiss, Italians? Match fixing? Never.

FA Vase tip this Saturday

While most eyes will be on the Millennium Stadium this Saturday afternoon, Whitley Bay will be attempting to reach their third successive FA Vase final when they visit Poole Town in the semi final 1st leg.

As of now only SkyBet are offering odds on the game and they have it a pretty even handed affair with Poole currently 11/10, Whitley Bay 7/4 with the draw priced at 13/5.

After hearing both managers comments today I strongly advise you back the draw. Poole Town boss Tom Killick has admitted his players face an uphill task in trying to get past an in-form Whitley Bay side who really should be favourites at the bookies.

Meanwhile Bay boss Ian Chandler commented "Poole are a good team and they have some big threats. I know that we don't need to win the first leg so I will be cautious going into the tie."

Three years ago Chandler went for all out attack in the first leg of the Vase semi-final and his team was defeated 4-0 by Lowestoft, since then he has been ultra cautious and it has paid off with Whitley Bay reaching the last two finals.

So head over to SkyBet and back the draw @ 13/5 - I believe Whitley Bay will reach the final but only after securing a draw in the first leg on Saturday.

Wednesday 23 March 2011

Yesterday

Torquay duly won last night, defeating Cheltenham 2-1 giving us a 4/6 outright win and a 10/11 shot on over 2.5 goals.

Unfortunately our four-timer failed, with Port Vale letting us down at the final hurdle, so its off to study this weekends internationals in readiness for another assault on the bookies.

Just one final note for today, BetFred are currently running a promotion on certain big matches regarding first goalscorer bets. If your player scores two/three goals they will double/treble your first goalscorer odds for free. Already they have paid out on hat-tricks for Kevin Nolan & Jermain Defoe so if you like a bet on first goalscorers, head over to Betfred to place your bet, I will be listing which matches this applies to every Friday afternoon.

Tuesday 22 March 2011

Torquay v Cheltenham tonight

Torquay can go into fourth place tonight with a victory over Cheltenham and can be backed at a best price 4/6 with BetFred.

With a full squad to choose from, the Gulls should be too strong for a Cheltenham side struggling to keep up their early season form. Torquay have 12 goals from their last 6 games and another high scoring encounter could be on the cards tonight, with Cheltenham conceding 14 goals in their previous 6 games.

Cheltenham do have 18 goal top scorer Wes Thomas is in the side though, so I'd recommend backing over 2.5 goals in the game, which is a best priced 10/11 with Stan James.

Elsewhere tonight I forecast victories for Port Vale (currently managerless after Saturdays defeat to Accrington), Brighton & Colchester. If you include Torquay the four-timer pays just under 8/1 with Stan James.

Tuesday 8 March 2011

Barcelona v Arsenal this evening

Can Arsenal get through this tough match this evening? They failed at the Nou Camp last year but they have that priceless victory from the first leg in their locker this time so that sets us up for a fantastic tie tonight.

As of lunchtime the best odds available are:

Barcelona 1/3
Draw 11/2
Arsenal 8/1

Barca are obviously pretty strong favourites, and the odds reflect this, but there is value to be found if you delve deep enough.

Both teams have injury problems with Walcott & Song missing for Arsenal whilst Barcelona have to do without their usual centre-back pairing of Pique & Puyol. Most pundits agree that Barca will have the lions share of possession, as they did in the first leg, but many also agree that Arsenal are better playing the counter attack game.

One player who will be crucial for the gunners tonight is Andrey Arshavin. He is coming into form right now and with Walcott missing he will be required to step up to the plate tonight. He performed well against Sunderland at the weekend and was unlucky to see a legitimate goal chalked off. Sportingbet's 11/2 to score at anytime looks a decent bet to me, especially with Barcelona's 2nd choice centre-back pairing tonight.

While many people would consider it foolish to back an Gunners victory tonight, we do like the look of Arsenal with a 2 goal head start. Stan James has this priced at 11/10 while almost all other bookmakers have it as an odds on shot.

So can the Gunners do it? One statistic makes interesting reading, Arsenal have won the first leg at home 15 times in Europe and have gone on to qualify in 14 of those games.

A good omen? Hopefully!!

.

Tuesday 22 February 2011

Blackpool v Tottenham

Tonight sees Blackpool clash with Tottenham at Bloomfield Road and we have another couple of bets laid out at decent odds. Hopefully we can continue our great winning streak as our 2/1 accumulater came in on Saturday along with Monday nights bet on the last goal being after the 80th minute in the West Ham v Burnley match. Folowing on from the two Arsenal bets which came in last Wednesday that makes it four out of four this past week so happy days.
.
Onto tonights match and as regular subscribers will know, we have made a pretty penny out of Blackpool's leaky defence/gung ho attacking this season and tonight should be no different. Blackpool home matches are currently averaging almost 4 goals a game and if you only take into account games v the top six you are edging closer to 5 goals a game. So the first bet recommended is:
.
Back over 3.5 goals @ 11/8 with Stan James.
.
The time of the first goal market in this match is also worth checking out as both teams have a bit of early form. Tottenham have scored/conceded a goal in the first twenty minutes 10 times in their last 20 Premier League games, Blackpool 9 times out of their last twenty.
.
Back 'time of first goal - 27th min or before' @ 4/5 with Stan James.

.

Saturday 19 February 2011

FA Cup time

Well that was a profitable Wednesday evening when both our tips for the Arsenal v Barcelona Champions league tie came in at 7/4 and 4/6 respectively, I hope you were on them.

So on to this weekend's tips and to start with we have a nice treble to set your Saturday off with a bang, it pays out just shy of 2/1 with Victor Chandler.

Birmingham, Stoke & Man Utd to win

And finally a tip for Monday nights FA Cup tie between West Ham & Burnley.

Five out of the last six goals Burnley have concede in the FA Cup have come in the 80th minute or later.

Now the bookmakers have yet to fully list this match but it is worth a punt on the time spread for the last goal when they do as it seems Burnley are suffering from a bit of fatigue in their FA Cup matches this season.
.

Wednesday 16 February 2011

Arsenal v Barcelona

Firstly a quick stat that may be of note regarding tonights match - Barcelona have yet to win an away Champions League knock out round game under Pep Guardiola, that is six in total. So taking that into account our first recommended bet is...

Arsenal to win (draw no bet) @ 7/4 with BetFred

Also traditionally games between these two rivals have been high scoring affairs. The last three matches have seen twelve goals fly in with three being the lowest amount in any one match.

So I'd recommend a nice wager on over 2.5 goals at a best price 4/6 with Victor Chandler

If you want more tips like this delivered straight to your inbox then please sign up for our newsletter on the right, we don't bombard you with spam and it is totally free with a great strike rate this season.

Correct score betting

Almost everyone who has a flutter on the footy has had a try at predicting the correct score, and probably lost a few times too as it is not the easiest thing in the world to predict.

But a cursory look at the Premier League stats so far this season proves that one scoreline is way out ahead of all others so far.

That score is a 1-1 draw.

This has occured 33 times so far this season, with 1-0 being the next best, coming in 24 times. Given the fact 1-1 draws are usually priced around the 6-1 mark, it is something worth taking note of next time you head to the bookies to place a correct score bet.

Saturday Tips

Its FA Cup weekend and we have two stand out tips crying to be backed..

Aston Villa v Blackburn Rovers - Sat 1:00pm
'Over 11 corners' @ 1/2 with Bet365
.
While the odds are not the greatest in the world, a huge 91.7% of Villa's 12 home games have gone over 11 corners while 75% of Blackburn away games have too.
.
West Ham United v Nottingham Forest - Sun 2:00pm
'Draw no bet - Forest victory' @ 13/8 with Stan James
.
Nottingham Forest have won 7 of their last 10 matches, losing only once, picking up 16 out of 18 points in the process. That includes an away victory in the last round of the FA Cup and they face a West Ham side who are in poor form right now. The Hammers also had to endure 30 minutes of extra time on Wednesday evening and Premier League survival is more important than a cup run for them right now. Forest can also be backed at 13/5 for an outright victory if you are confident.

Two Wednesday Winners

Result! on Wednesday night when both our tips came in to set us up nicely for the weekend. A nice touch is planned for Saturday so check back from Friday teatime for more details...

Wednesday 26 January 2011

Two tips for tonights matches

A quick pair of tips for you on two of tonights matches......

Birmingham City v West Ham Utd - 7:45pm
Over 10.5 corners @ 4/6 with Stan James

These two teams are averaging 12.5 and 11.9 total corners per match respectively and with this being a cup semi final expect lots of attacking action.

Liverpool v Fulham - 8:00pm
Under 2.5 goals @ 4/5 with Stan James
Fulham away games have gone under 2.5 goals 72.7% of the time and Liverpool are only averaging 1.8 goals at home this season.

Friday 21 January 2011

Blackpool v Sunderland

We have another guaranteed profit bet laid out for you today, on the Premier League game between Blackpool & Sunderland, which is a 3.00pm kick off this coming Saturday.

£30 if Blackpool win
£40 if Sunderland win
£48 if the match ends in a draw

Saturday stand out bet

One stand out bet for you this weekend...

Wolves v Liverpool, Sat 12:45pm (Sky)
'Over 2.5 goals' @ 11/10 with Stan James
*
The goals market on this match looks a decent opportunity for a winner here with both teams missing their most influential defenders, Jody Craddock & Jamie Carragher. Wolves are shipping 1.78 goals a game since Craddock was injured in October while Liverpool are conceding 1.71 per game since Carragher has been out.
Wolves have banged in 11 goals in their last four matches so have finally started hitting the net while Liverpool, and Torres in particular, looked good against Everton last week. The fact both teams have broke the 2.5 barrier in 6/11 of their respective home & away matches this season makes this a pretty logical bet to take.

Trends to consider for 2011

Happy new year to you all, normal service is now resumed so lets get ready for a profitable 2011 with a few Premier League trends worth noting.

Blackpools 100% record...

Blackpool may have played less home games than most teams due to the weather but did you know that bets on over 2.5 goals have paid out in all 7 home matches this season.

Wigans 100% record...

Bets on under 10.5 corners have paid out in every Wigan home game this season, thats 11 out of 11 matches at the DW Stadium.

Referee Mark Halsey...

This is a referee who can earn us serious cash this year, as regular subscribers will know. Bets on under 3.5 cards and under 35.5 booking points have both paid out in 11 out of 12 matches this season, a trend we are expecting to continue.

There are no regular Premier League tips this weekend due to the FA Cup but we will have our first Guaranteed Profit Bet of the season online today whilst our regular email service will be up and running again next week.

Happy betting...
