France lost 1-0 to China in Réunion island in their final warm-up match before the start of the World Cup.
The result must have dealt a massive blow to France's confidence as the 2006 World Cup finalists have conceded a goal in each of their last three friendlies while scoring only three times.
France drew 1-1 with Tunisia last weekend and beat Costa-Rica 2-1 last month. They open their World Cup campaign against Uruguay on 11 June, before taking on Mexico and hosts South Africa in Group A.
Remember, China failed to qualify for the World Cup and they were also missing several first-choice players against our Gallic cousins. With the likes of freescoring Diego Forlan to face with Uruguay, and the nippy Mexicans who did so well beating the Italians, maybe its worth taking a closer look at who may qualify from Group A.
